'The Glee Project' Recap: Season 2, Episode 2
Now that Glee season 3 has ended, Gleeks can comfort themselves by watching The Glee Project! I watched this show since last season and I automatically fell in love. Now that there’s a season 2, I figure it would be a good idea to provide a recap for all who love Glee. So let’s recap, reflect, and have fun!
This week’s episode was all about dance-ability. The first challenge was to perform “We Got the Beat” by The Go Go’s for last season’s sexy winner, Samuel Larson. The contestants wowed the judges and in the end, Abraham won the challenge! He was mentored by Samuel Larsen who told him to relax and not think so much in the competition. But Abraham throws this advice out the window and over thinks EVERYTHING.

As a matter of fact, everyone forgot the advice given to them. In the studio Lily struggled the most. It was almost scary. She was off key, loud, and basically screaming. Then everyone completely bombed the choreography for the music video. I don’t know why this was hard for them. The song they were given was “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO. Everyone who’s anyone dances to that song; good or bad. No one seemed to be into it. They weren’t having fun and it showed. But then again, they probably did numerous takes and lost energy.

The judges had a hard time choosing who should go in the bottom three. But not because everyone did well; it was because everyone did HORRIBLE! In the end Lily, Dani, and of course Tyler was chosen to be in the bottom three. Lily shows off her sassy attitude towards the judges which rubs them in the wrong way. She really can’t take constructive criticism which sucks because I actually liked her. But her attitude is turning me off.

One of my favorites, Dani, unfortunately did not make the cut. I understand this decision completely. She has a magical voice but it’s not Glee material. I can really see her being a solo artist. I would buy her music. She’s amazing and seems so sweet.

Overall I’m in love with this season so far. This show has the most diverse cast on television and I can’t wait to see more of it.
Sidenotes:
1. I don’t like Ali and Tyler. I don’t like either of their voices. I know Tyler is transitioning but I think he should hold off on the competition until his voice stabilizes. His voice can eventually be his downfall because he’s up against such talented people. His story is AMAZING but he needs more oomph to be the winner. And Ali’s voice is just nasally, high pitched, and irritating. She also doesn’t really stand out to me but she has a bunch of time to do that I guess.
2. I’m also really happy that Taryn left. She had no presence at all. Her voice is amazing but I think she’s just a singer and not a performer.
3. I really like Charlie. His personality is JUST LIKE FINN! I like Blake as well. He needs more camera time. I can’t wait to see how the love triangle plays out with Aylin, Blake, and Charlie!!!!
